Genshin Impact Fatui Harbingers Symbols Finally Unveiled in New Merch

by WongLucien 16 Sep 2025

In Genshin Impact, the Fatui Harbingers are the core combat force under the command of the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya. They bear the crucial missions of carrying out the Tsaritsa's will, collecting the Gnoses, and ultimately confronting the Heavenly Principles. With distinctive images and unique characteristics, they are key characters driving the development of the storyline.

1. Fatui Harbingers Constellation Symbols

The PV "A Winter Night's Lazzo," released in 2022, first revealed the iconic symbols of the Harbingers, which were later widely speculated by players to represent their Fateful Constellations. These symbols not only reflect each Harbinger's personality traits but also often hint at their background stories and fate directions, sparking enthusiastic discussions among Travelers. With the release of official Genshin Impact Fatui merch, the meanings of some Constellations have gradually been confirmed.

Fatui Harbingers Symbols

Among them, the Constellation patterns of Tartaglia, Scaramouche, La Signora, and Arlecchino are relatively clear: Tartaglia has a deep connection with the whale; Scaramouche, as a "heartless" puppet, craves the Gnosis; La Signora transforms into a fire moth and returns to her homeland in the "A Winter Night's Lazzo" PV, her image corresponding to the fire moth pattern; and Arlecchino's pattern highly matches the winged form in her Balemoon Bloodfire.

2. Pierro and the Mocking Mask Symbol

Genshin Mocking Mask Story

In the story related to the Mocking Mask of the Pale Flame artifact set, Pierro mocks his own talent as inferior to that of the Wise, failing to prevent them from tearing open the veil of deep sin. Thus, he becomes a clumsy Fool, pledging loyalty to the Tsaritsa who understood him, determined to rewrite the Heavenly Principles. The pattern of the Mocking Mask is a weeping face, which closely resembles Pierro's own mask.

3. Il Dottore and the Bird-Beak Mask Symbol

Dottore and the Bird-Beak Mask Symbol

The bird-beak mask was initially considered by many players to be a symbol of The Rooster, seemingly matching his character's appearance to some extent. However, upon closer observation, Il Dottore has a "bird-beak mask" ornament on his right shoulder, black feathers on his back resembling "crow feathers," and a mask on his face with a "beak" feature. These characteristics clearly point to the image of the "plague doctor's" "bird-beak mask" commonly used during the medieval Black Death period.

In people's perception, the "bird-beak doctor" often symbolizes terror and evil, and Il Dottore's image and story perfectly align with the "bird-beak mask" icon. In contrast, The Rooster, apart from his appearance, shares no similarities with this icon in other aspects.

4. Il Capitano and the Three Sacred Nails Symbol

Capitano Symbol

The Three Sacred Nails associated with The Captain likely draw inspiration from religious and historical elements, cleverly integrated with Il Capitano's character traits. The most direct association of the "Three Sacred Nails" is with the three nails that crucified Jesus in Christianity, symbolizing sacrifice, redemption, and suffering. In the Natlan storyline, we delved deeper into Il Capitano's story. Bearing an immortality curse, The Captain used his own heart as a vessel to collect all the souls that could not return to the Ley Lines due to the shattering of the Night Kingdom.

Finally, he utilized the immortality curse to counteract the certain-death rule after using the power of the Deathly Ruler, allowing the warriors dwelling in his heart to return home. The Captain then fell into a long slumber here, achieving a form of rebirth in a certain sense.

5. Pulcinella and the Heaven-Piercing Palm Symbol

Pulcinella Symbol

The Fateful Constellation symbol of the 5th Harbinger, "The Rooster" Pulcinella, is widely believed to be the "Heaven-Piercing Palm." This pattern likely symbolizes control and authority, highly aligning with his actual status in Snezhnaya.

Pulcinella is referred to as the "Mayor" by "The Regrator" Pantalone and is effectively the actual administrative ruler of Snezhnaya. He commands numerous Fatui squads, holds significant power, and is responsible for executing the Tsaritsa's decrees and national governance. This high-ranking identity naturally lends his Constellation pattern an imagery of "controlling the overall situation." Across various cultural traditions, the palm has been a symbol of power, strength, and control, which coincides with Pulcinella's identity as a statesman.

6. Colombina and the Weeping Dove Symbol

The name "Colombina" for The Damselette means "little dove" in Italian, with the winged headdress directly linked to the weeping dove symbol.

7. Sandrone and the Marionette Symbol

The icon directly showcases the character's technique for manipulating puppets, capable of operating mechanical lifeforms. Sandrone is proficient in mechanical creation and can control the robot Pulonia, which coincides with the pattern.

8. Pantalone and the Scepter Orb Symbol

Pantalone Symbol

The combination of the scepter and orb symbolizes control over wealth and economic power, aligning with the character's identity as the economic administrator of Snezhnaya. Have you ever noticed the ring worn by "The Regrator" Pulcinella, in the "A Winter Night's Lazzo" PV? The ring on his left index finger bears a design quite similar to the shape of the scepter and orb in the icon; meanwhile, the ring on his middle finger features a variant design of the Fatui pattern.

Of course, the above is merely personal observation and speculation, and the specific settings should be based on subsequent official information from Genshin Impact.
