Genshin Impact Reveals 11 New Nod-Krai Characters

In the latest released Song of the Welkin Moon PV for Genshin Impact, 11 new characters from the upcoming region are showcased, with elemental attributes confirmed for 6 of them! Among them are familiar faces like Grand Master Varka, Lady Alice, Durin (in human form), and several new characters! Now, let's take a closer look!

1. Genshin Impact Varka

Affiliation: Mondstadt, Knights of Favonius.

Element: Anemo (At 3:09 in Official Video, an Anemo Vision hangs from the cloak at his waist).

2. Genshin Impact Aino

Affiliation: Nod-Krai, Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop.

Role: A genius mechanical inventor in Nod-Krai who assembles discarded scrap metal into high-performance machines. She is also Inefira's designer and family member.

Her design visibly references Infinite Stratos's Houki Shinonono-similar sleepy-eyed expression, lazy demeanor, and technical expertise, epitomizing the "lazy tech genius" archetype in anime culture!

(Note: Houki's Chinese VA currently voices Yaoyao in Genshin Impact.)

3. Genshin Impact Nicole Reeyn

Affiliation: Hexenzirkel.

Race: Sharp-pointed ears distinct from ordinary humans and different from Klee/Alice's elf ears, resembling Layla's ear shape.

Role: Codename N, who speaks directly into people's minds. She acts as a prophet only when the world shifts, hinting at hidden truths. During the Irminsul disturbance at Sumeru's Sanctuary of Surasthana, she spoke directly in the Traveler's mind to safeguard their memories.

4. Genshin Impact Sandrone

Affiliation: Fatui Harbinger • Marionette.

The Marionette behind her has clockwork mechanisms, so it's unclear which one is the true body...

5. Genshin Impact Durin

Element: Pyro (At 0:25 in Official Video, a Pyro Vision hangs on the back of his clothing).

6. Genshin Impact Jahoda

Affiliation: Nod-Krai • Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop.

At 0:29 in the video, the mechanical joints of the character's right arm are clearly visible; at 0:32, the entire right hand is metallic, suggesting the right arm may be partially mechanical.

7. Genshin Impact Flins

Affiliation: Nod-Krai • LightKeepers.

Element: Electro (At 1:36 in Official Video, an Electro Vision hangs near his hip).

The LightKeepers are an ancient organization that has long fought against the Abyss and The Wild Hunt to protect Nod-Krai. Though weakened by past wars, a new generation of LightKeepers now rises to fulfill their mission against new threats. Flins appears to be the current LightKeeper; the black and purple colors at 3:33 symbolize the Abyss and The Wild Hunt.

8. Genshin Impact Nefer

Affiliation: Nod-Krai, highly likely from the Voynich Guild.

Element: Dendro (At 2:39 in Official Video, a Dendro Vision appears behind the character).

The Voynich Guild is the largest local organization in Nod-Krai, maintaining basic order and providing shelter for merchants. It is a positive faction. The "Secret Archives" of the guild has a proprietress, who should be Nefer.

9. Genshin Impact Lauma

Affiliation: Nod-Krai • Frostmoon Scions.

Element: Dendro (At 3:28 in Official Video, a Dendro Vision hangs on the left side of her leg).

Legend says they are descendants of the Golden Realm. After abandoning their old civilization, they chose to live in the mountains but still kept their faith in the Moon Goddess.

Lauma's Japanese voice actor, Kuwashima Hōko, voiced characters like Murrue Ramius (Gundam SEED) and Stella Loussier (Gundam SEED Destiny), all of whom died in their series. Fans nicknamed her the "Voice of Death."

10. Genshin Impact Alice

Affiliation: Hexenzirkel.

Element: Pyro (at 5:02 in Official Video, a Pyro Vision hangs on her hat).

Role: Need an introduction? She's Klee's mother!

11. Genshin Impact Columbina

Affiliation: Fatui Harbinger • Damselette.

Note: The official art introduction calls her "Maiden of the Moon," not a Fatui Harbinger! This could mean three things:

1. Nod-Krai is Columbina's homeland;
2. She will become the new Welkin Moon Goddess;
3. She will prevent the moon from falling, even sacrificing herself.

Personally, I lean toward the third explanation-if the moon truly falls, Nod-Krai might be destroyed. Someone must stop this!
