Genshin Impact 6th Anniversary Overview | Merch & Free 5-Star Pick Guide

In the blink of an eye, Genshin Impact has already accompanied us for six whole years. Setting out from Mondstadt and journeying all the way toward Snezhnaya, this journey has left behind countless precious memories, bringing endless touching moments and delightful surprises.

This year's anniversary rewards are just as full of sincerity: in addition to 1,600 Primogems and 10 Intertwined Fate, there is a brand-new companion pet, gadgets, and various enhancement materials, as well as the option to choose one of eight standard characters. Especially noteworthy is that this anniversary marks the first time a choose-one-of-six exclusive 5-star character event has been introduced.

In addition, the official team has simultaneously released the 6th Anniversary celebration artwork and launched the 6th Anniversary merch, allowing Travelers to share in the joy of the anniversary beyond the game as well.

1. Genshin 6th Anniversary Celebration Artwork

This is the first time the official anniversary artwork has brought together a host of Teyvat's gods: Anemo Archon Venti, Geo Archon Zhongli, Electro Archon Raiden Shogun, Dendro Archon Nahida, Hydro Archon Furina, Pyro Archon Mavuika, Moon Goddess Columbina, and the Cryo Archon Anastasya, who makes her first official appearance in the official anniversary artwork.

Beneath Teyvat's starry sky, the gods gather together: Venti gently strums the Holy Lyre der Himmel, carefree and at ease; Zhongli stands with his arms crossed over his chest, calm and dignified; the Raiden Shogun carries herself elegantly, with an immovable majesty all her own; Nahida spreads her hands open, innocent and adorable; Furina bows in an elegant curtain call; Mavuika lazily raises a cup, spirited and uninhibited; Columbina cradles the Kuuhenki in her arms, gently lowering her gaze; and Anastasia has a mysterious, cold, and severe air, carrying a chill with her. Each god has a vivid image and a distinctive bearing.

In the distant background, the Traveler siblings finally appear together in the same frame in the anniversary artwork, walking along the journey with Paimon and continuing onward toward the road ahead. Echoing the group portrait of gods standing beneath the starry sky in the foreground, they are always on the road. Over six years of journey, the Traveler is both a participant in this grand story and a witness to and recorder of the countless scenes of Teyvat.

Genshin Impact God Plushies

Following the 5th anniversary Wondrous Travels chibi plushies, Genshin Impact is launching a major new lineup for its 6th anniversary: the Feast of the Gods plushies. This is also the first time Genshin Impact has released eight large sitting plushies at once, an unprecedentedly luxurious lineup. Compared with the previous generation of chibi plushies, this series not only expands the character roster but also dresses every character in exquisite banquet attire. The clothing features rich, layered detailing and comes with a large number of removable accessories. At a large 35 cm size, it balances companionship and collectible value, making it just right whether placed in a display case or casually held in your arms.

Furina Sitting Plushie

This time, the Furina plush features a braided hairstyle, marking the first-ever reveal of the "Pneuma Furina" plush design. Together with the previously released "Ousia Furina" plush, we can finally own both Pneuma Furina and Ousia Furina at the same time!

Zhongli Sitting Plushie

The Zhongli plush feels like a refined blend of his Sanxingdui and Genshin Concert collaboration looks. His coat features exclusive custom embroidery paired with a detachable decorative scarf, while his signature metallic necklace is shaped like a traditional Chinese longevity lock, adding a delightful touch of cuteness to his composed and dignified presence.

The Venti plush resembles a recolored version of his Character Impression apparel, featuring a playful "cat mouth" design. Nahida Sitting Plushie

The Nahida plush draws inspiration from a Sabzeruz Festival style. The group shikishi board is an absolute standout highlight of this collection! For the very first time, all eight Archons gather in a single ensemble illustration. Backed by silver glitter paper, the shimmering base elevates the ambiance of the entire artwork to a whole new level.

2. Genshin 6th Anniversary Reward  – Choose One of Six Limited 5-Star Characters

This is the biggest reward of this anniversary celebration. After completing the Archon Quest Chapter VlIl:Act IV "A Rekviem for the Underworld," Travelers can choose one of six exclusive 5-star characters—Baizhu, Nilou, Varesa, Tartaglia, Clorinde, and Chiori—and will also receive the corresponding character's development materials.

Top Priority: Varesa

Varesa is the strongest of the six characters in this lineup, standing as an absolute F2P powerhouse with a phenomenal overworld traversal experience. She is fully viable right out of the box at C0, while her C1, C2, C3, and even C4 and C5 all provide tangible, substantial power spikes. Therefore, if you don't already own Varesa, picking her is your safest bet.

It is worth noting that Varesa is currently not in the Stella Fortuna redemption list for 'To Temper Thyself and Journey Far.' Choosing her will only grant you the base character, meaning you won't be able to pick up additional Constellations for her through that system.

2nd Priority: Nilou

This pick is tailored for players running the Lunar Bloom archetype. If you already have a C0 Nilou, grabbing a copy from this selector and redeeming another one through 'To Temper Thyself and Journey Far' will let you jump straight to C2. C2 Nilou provides valuable RES shred for the team, offering a substantial and noticeable boost to Lunar Bloom comps.

3rd Priority: Baizhu

Baizhu functions primarily as a dedicated healer, offering both continuous healing and reliable Dendro application, with his Elemental Burst providing valuable interruption resistance. While demand for pure healers has dwindled in the current mainstream meta, Baizhu remains a solid fit for Nilou Bloom comps, making him especially worthwhile for Travelers who lack depth in their Dendro roster.

4th Priority: Clorinde & Chiori

Both Clorinde and Chiori have their Constellations available for redemption in 'To Temper Thyself and Journey Far.' If you already have an existing Constellation foundation on either of them and are just one copy away from unlocking a key Constellation, they are definitely worth considering here. Both characters undergo a massive, transformative power spike at C6.

5th Priority: Tartaglia

As an early veteran character released back in Version 1.1, Tartaglia has visibly fallen behind in the current meta in terms of raw multipliers, kit mechanics, and Constellation value. However, being a Snezhnayan character, there remains the possibility of him receiving buffs or indirect synergies in future Snezhnaya patches. If you want to bet on his future potential, he is still an option worth considering.

3. Genshin 6th Anniversary Reward  – Choose One of Eight Standard Characters

As for the Standard Banner, you can choose one of eight characters: Jean, Diluc, Qiqi, Mona, Keqing, Tighnari, Dehya, and Yumemizuki Mizuki. The corresponding development materials are also included. For Travelers who are missing key standard characters or need to fill out constellations, this is a rare opportunity to strengthen your roster. Below are some selection references for everyone:

Top Priority: Mizuki

Mizuki is a newly added character to the standard Banner, and many Travelers have yet to pull her. As a formidable newcomer among standard characters and by far the most popular pick in this selector, you simply can't go wrong choosing her if she's currently missing from your roster.

2nd Priority: Mona & Qiqi

Mona serves as a DMG-buffing support, and the damage-boosting mechanic from her Burst's Omen status remains viable in quite a few team comps. Qiqi provides reliable, sustained healing while also fitting nicely into certain new reaction archetypes. Both are solid, practical supports, making them top considerations if your roster is lacking support units.

3rd Priority: Jean & Dehya

Jean and Dehya have a certain amount of support value. Jean's experience improves noticeably at C2 and C4; Dehya can provide a survivability safety net for the team. If you already own all the characters recommended above, you can choose them to complete your archive or add constellations.

4th Priority: Keqing, Diluc & Tighnari

These three are the main DPS characters among the Standard Banner roster. In the current version, there are plenty of main DPS options, so standard main DPS characters are indeed rather limited in competitiveness. Unless you're a new player who lacks a main DPS for early-game progression, or you're a devoted fan of the character, put them at the lowest priority.
