Genshin Impact 5.8 Preview: Natlan Summer Resort Permanently Available

A few days ago, Genshin Impact released the 5.8 version preview. The Summer Resort event is coming. This year's archipelago map will be permanent, so no need to worry about missing it. Ineffa, as the first Nod-Krai character, will also be released, introducing a new elemental reaction. At the end of the preview, there was a new Nod-Krai easter egg short film. 2. Genshin Impact Version 5.8: New Character "Ineffa"

Ineffa is a 5-star Electro polearm character-she introduces the new Luna-Charged reaction. As long as Ineffa is in the party, all Electrocharged reactions triggered by the team will be converted into Luna-Charged reactions. Her Elemental Skill summons a small robot, which acts as a deployable unit intermittently dealing Electro DMG to enemies on the field. Her Elemental Burst launches the robot forward, resetting its on-field duration. She should serve as a sub-DPS for Charged teams.

Visually, the reaction text of Luna-Charged differs from regular Charged. Simultaneously, thunderclouds appear on the field, intermittently dealing Electro DMG to enemies simultaneously affected by Hydro and Electro. Additionally, the preview mentioned that Luna-Electrocharged can trigger CRIT hits, suggesting its damage formula may be tied to CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG. Both the damage calculation method and underlying mechanics may have changed, and we will continue to monitor this.

4. Genshin Impact Version 5.8: New Weapon & New Outfits

Ineffa's signature 5-star weapon will also be released in Genshin Impact Version 5.8.

As part of the Golden Apple Archipelago version, Version 5.8 will launch two new outfits: Bennett's new outfit (free from the main event) and Yelan's new outfit (available at a discount during Version 5.8).

5. Genshin Impact Version 5.8: New Area

This summer event's story takes place in Natlan. After defeating the Abyss, Natlan built a Summer Resort, and everyone is vacationing here. The preview also mentioned that both the quests and the map will be permanently available, so no need to worry about missing out.

In this map, we will explore the story of the Mare Jivari alongside Citlali and battle a massive boss. Just seeing the size difference between the Traveler and the boss, you can feel its overwhelming presence.

Additionally, Bennett's constellation shines high in the sky above the Mare Jivari, suggesting this story may finally unravel the mystery of Bennett's origins.

6. Genshin Impact Version 5.8: New Story Content

The Nata Summer Island quests will become permanent Story Quests. Additionally, Ineffa will bring the Archon Quest "Song of the Welkin Moon: Prelude" (with limited-time completion rewards), through which we will learn more about Nodoclay.

7. Genshin Impact Version 5.8: New Events

7.1 Sunspray Summer Resort

The Main Event takes place on the Natlan Summer Resort map. Participating in the Main Event allows players to obtain Bennett's new outfit and an event-limited 4-Star Claymore.

7.2 Snapshots Event

The Snapshots event returns, letting us take photos across Teyvat to earn rewards. This update adds a lens follow function, so characters won't move out of frame.

7.3 Yelan Outfit Event

Yelan's outfit also has a dedicated event. Her outfit features Fontaine-style design, and the event tells the story of Yelan tracking a criminal with the Traveler at a Fontaine auction.

7.4 Rhythm Game

The Genshin Rhythm Game updates with a Natlan album. A new instrument is added to the Natlan Rhythm Game shop, alongside limited-time Primogem rewards.

7.5 Genius Invokation TCG

Beyond routine updates, the new Genius Invokation Open Championship is about to begin.

8. Genshin Impact New System Optimizations

As Nod-Krai approaches, the end of this preview also released a new teaser short. We can see many scenes of Nod-Krai and a new character.
