Dear Travelers, Genshin Impact has teamed up with BANDAI NAMCO to officially unveil a new Ichiban Kuji merchandise collaboration today!

Keqing, Kamisato Ayato, Varesa, and the Wanderer have been transformed into adorable 38cm tall POTEPOTTE sitting-style plushies! 10cm tall plush finger puppets are also looking forward to accompanying Travelers on their journeys. Furthermore, there are plush coin pouches, glass cups, acrylic stands, double-sided reflective metal pins, and other merchandise waiting for Travelers to obtain.

What is a POTEPOTTE Doll?

POTEPOTTE is a popular doll series under the BANDAI NAMCO group's trendy toy division. Its signature soft, cute design style has won the affection of many anime and gaming enthusiasts. The series features a unified chibi, rounded form with a characteristic slightly tilted head and a well-behaved sitting posture with hands placed on the ground. It adopts an adorable large-head-to-small-body proportion, simplifying complex details while accurately retaining the character's iconic hair color, clothing, and unique features. The lines are soft and without sharp edges, creating an overall gentle and soothing atmosphere. 

The POTEPOTTE series focuses on larger sizes, approximately 35 to 38 centimeters, offering a soft, comfortable, and substantial feel perfect for hugging and companionship.

What is Ichiban Kuji?

Ichiban Kuji is a lottery-style merchandise sales mechanism for anime goods, launched in 2003 by Banpresto, a company under the Japanese BANDAI NAMCO. Different from ordinary blind boxes, its most significant feature is a 100% win guarantee. 

The core mechanic is: consumers pay a fixed price to randomly draw a lottery ticket, which is then exchanged for a corresponding prize based on its tier (A Prize, B Prize, etc.). Among these, the A Prizes are extremely limited in quantity and of the highest value. The most special is the "The Last One Prize," awarded exclusively to the customer who draws the very last ticket from that set, often being a limited-edition item.

Core Play Rules

Unlike a game's standard gacha system with fixed probabilities (e.g., SSR always at 1%), Ichiban Kuji uses a dynamic probability system: the total number of draws per set and the quantity of each prize are fixed. As tickets are drawn, the probability of winning the remaining prizes continuously increases.

Using "Honkai: Star Rail" a reference, a typical Honkai: Star Rail Ichiban Kuji contains 80 draws.

Initial Probability: If a set contains only 2 A Prizes (grand prize), the chance of drawing an A Prize on the first draw is 2/80 = 2.5%.

Dynamic Probability: If the first 50 draws do not yield an A Prize, the probability for the remaining 30 draws becomes 2/30 ≈ 6.67%. This is the often-mentioned "prize sinking to the bottom" and is the moment experienced players like to "snipe."

"Sniping" a Specific Character: This is the scenario with the lowest probability. If the A Prize pool contains 3 different character plushies and you only want one specific one, the initial chance of getting it is (1/80) = 1.25%.
