"A Gift From the Sea Spirits"：Super Lovely Melusine

The Luna IV world quest "A Gift From the Sea Spirits" tells a heartwarming and amusing story, filled with delightful details that bring a smile to your face. This quest revolves around the Melusines preparing a surprise gift for Neuvillette, brimming with warmth and joy.

At the start of the quest, we teleport to the seaside and encounter the Melusine Puca, who is on her way to search for gems and seashells. Through dialogue, we learn that the Melusines, to thank Neuvillette for his ongoing help and generosity, have decided to handcraft a set of clothes for him as a gift in return. They particularly emphasize wanting to create a "respectable outfit" and even consulted Sigewinne for advice, eventually settling on the theme "Solemn Relaxation." 

This amusing premise leads Paimon to imagine Neuvillette swimming expressionlessly in the sea while holding a seashell—isn’t that just like a Leisurely Otter? Genshin Impact has even released a related "Fontemer Aberrant Leisurely Otter Plush Toy", dubbed the "Neuvillette Otter Plush" by players. It seems everything is connected!

Every Melusine contributed their efforts to this surprise gift. Puca was in charge of collecting shiny seashells, stones, and Tidalga. As Travelers skilled at finding items, we naturally wanted to help the Melusines too. After finding all the Beryl Conches, we returned to the shore to speak with Puca and discovered that a kind-hearted spirit had already delivered the Tidalga—all materials were now ready. Puca arranged to meet us at the Palais Mermonia to admire the finished product and mentioned that many Melusines would be there.

At the appointed time, many Melusines had indeed gathered outside the Palais Mermonia. They were chatting with Iaune, and the conversation was quite amusing: Iaune introduced herself as a reporter from the Buoyant Otter Gazette and even remarked, "If someone looks really nervous during an interview, that means you're asking the right questions." 

Melusines are always such magical and adorable creatures—their thinking is unpredictable, their actions bold yet innocent, and most have lively, cheerful personalities. Paired with their cute appearances and petite builds, they truly resemble a group of children earnestly trying to imitate adults. This might also be why Neuvillette likes them so much. Of course, let's not forget the magical portrait the Melusines painted of Neuvillette. The inner thoughts of both Neuvillette and the Melusines perfectly reflected their respective characters. To show how pleased he was with the gift, Neuvillette even tried the clothes on. The outfit also featured some Liyue embroidery, so it seems we might get to see the Chief Justice again at this year's Lantern Rite.

There is also a small easter egg here: on his way back after seeing the Melusines off, Neuvillette made a special trip to visit Pahsiv. It must be said that Pahsiv's voice acting is very lively. Her appearance somewhat resembles that of a Melusine, and she calls Neuvillette "New Valet." As an attendant of the Hydro Dragon Sovereign, could it be that she took on this form because Neuvillette is fond of Melusines?

The sense of leisure and comfort created by this quest is something rarely felt in real life, and even uncommon within the game itself. Yet, within this small quest that is essentially about "selling clothes," we are able to fully experience it. This is truly a delightful experience.
