Genshin Impact 6.0 Lauma, Flins, and Columbina Story Analysis
Following the storyline to Nod-Krai, I believe everyone has gained a general understanding of the plot content in Nod-Krai. But have you truly grasped the details of the 6.0 storyline? What exactly do the pioneering reformer Lauma and the blue-flame spirit Flins convey? Today, let us explore the main content and details of the Genshin Impact Nod-Krai main storyline together.
1. Genshin Impact The Moons, The Moon God, and Kuuvahki
Restructuring true beliefs, discerning real and fake spirits, and unraveling the mystery of the spacecraft and the descent of the sinners. Since miHoYo has not yet developed Snezhnaya, the Traveler's next destination is Nod-Krai. Following the letter from Varka two months ago, we also wanted to meet this renowned Grand Master. But Varka was not there; he had gone on a mission to Lake Anvatnir in the north.

Genshin Kuuvahki
Setting foot on this land, the Traveler felt a long-lost familiar power. This power is called "Kuuvahki," a unique elemental force that exists in the land of Nod-Krai. Tracing back to earlier times, this power is also related to the moons. Teyvat once had three moons, created by the original master of the planet, Nibelung, and they rose from the land of Nod-Krai. The first to be born was the largest "Eternal Moon." It was because of her immense Kuuvahki that the oceans had tides. Next was the "Frost Moon," the brightest among the three moons, because of which the nights gained an undying cold lamp. Finally, there was the "Iridescent Moon." Her glow was difficult to perceive directly, occasionally revealing beams of light, making her particularly mysterious.

Afterwards, the three Lunar Goddesses perished in the Funeral Pyre War triggered by the Descenders. The "Eternal Moon" and the "Iridescent Moon" shattered one after the other, leaving only the "Frost Moon" still suspended beyond Teyvat's false sky. After the Eternal Moon shattered, its fragments fell as meteorites onto Nod-Krai, which now serve as the source of Kuuvahki. The "Ancient Lunar Remains" previously pulled down from the sky by the Fatui are also fragments of the Eternal Moon. The two largest pieces of Ancient Lunar Remains fell, one on Hiisi Island and one on Paha Island. The Fatui established an experimental design bureau on the meteorite at Paha Island, while also eyeing covetously the one that landed on Hiisi Island. The moon that rose from Nod-Krai has returned to Nod-Krai, a view confirmed by contemporary geological studies and meteorite exploration results.
Sensing this familiar Kuuvahki, the Traveler recalled that this was where the twins' spacecraft had crash-landed. The spacecraft might contain important recorded information, so searching for the spacecraft was added to the objectives of this journey. Currently, the most effective method for locating the spacecraft is by utilizing the sacred artifact of the Frostmoon Scions. The Frostmoon Scions are the descendants of the golden nation Hyperborea, their origins traceable back to the era of the Angelic civilization, a period we have consistently referred to as the "Sacrificial Era." Although its former prosperity has faded, it has precipitated unique memories. Every Moonchanter of the Frostmoon Scions can, with the aid of the ancient "sacred artifact," observe the truth of history.

The sacred relic "Moon Marrow" preserved by the Frostmoon Scions is actually the remains of the deceased Eternal Moon Goddess Aria. Its essence is a power core, something that only forms after the death of a lunar deity. Moons inherently repel each other, which is why the Damselette cannot restore her strength by consuming the Moon Marrow. As for the remains of the Iridescent Moon, which shattered at the same time back then, although they have not yet been found, it can be confirmed that they fell to Khaenri'ah. This is most likely the origin of Khaenri'ah's Crimson Moon Dynasty and the Crimson Moon bloodline. Although the Eternal Moon has shattered and scattered across the land, the blessings she left behind endure, traversing time and space to meet the Traveler. In the storyline, we encounter this special lunar spirit, Luonnotar, confirmed by the Damselette to be the handiwork of the Eternal Moon Goddess Aria.

Moon Goddess Columbina
Generally, any object that comes into contact with a lunar deity will bear the mark of its blessing. This blessing mark usually fades away on its own after some time, but occasionally, long afterward, it may inadvertently transform into a Luonnotar. This little thing, suddenly born during the journey, is clearly a narrative convenience (deus ex machina) in the storyline. In the future, when you encounter something confusing, don't ask Paimon; ask it. In the main storyline, opening the gate to the Silvermoon Hall and the Damselette's pinpoint teleportation at critical moments all involve the participation of Luonnotar.
Although the Moon Goddess has perished, the moon itself has not shattered. Throughout the long years, the Frostmoon Scions have always passed down a prophecy that the Moon Goddess would return. That prophecy did indeed come true: she is the Moon Goddess "Koitar" spoken of by the Frostmoon Scions. However, after that, some incidents of indiscriminate bestowal of favors occurred, causing the Moon Goddess to leave and become the 3rd Fatui Harbinger, the Damselette Columbina.

Because they needed to seek help from the Frostmoon Scions to search for information about the spacecraft, during this time, the Traveler officially became involved in these complex and chaotic conflicts. First was the rift between the Damselette and the Frostmoon Scions. Approximately five hundred years ago, Koitar was born on Hiisi Island. Aira, the Ritekeeper of the Frostmoon Scions, witnessed the moment of the Damselette's birth. Realizing this was the newborn Moon Goddess from the prophecy, she silently recorded it and carved a large Moon Goddess statue. It is said that immediately after the Damselette's birth, many Seelie appeared around her, just like when the Goddess of Flowers fell to the earth. The Damselette has few memories of that time; the only things she remembers are a melody and a few lines of lyrics, like a lullaby heard in her infancy.
Whether this melody was sung by the Ritekeeper Aira at the time or was a gift from the Frost Moon shielded by the false sky remains unconfirmed. However, it can be confirmed that due to the shielding of the false sky, the prologue of the Song of the Welkin Moon was lost at this time.

The bewilderingly arrived Moon Goddess maiden and the exiled descendants of the ancient nation were like two children lost in the snow, huddling together for warmth. The Damselette adopted the faith of the Frostmoon Scions, and the Frostmoon Scions adopted the Damselette's life. The lost descendants of the ancient nation saw the Damselette as a hope to guide the people, but the Damselette, who had lost the prologue of her story, did not understand how to be a deity. Excessive demands and concessions gradually fostered a deformed relationship between them, breeding greed and suspicion within the Frostmoon Scions. Repelling foreign enemies, expanding territories, restoring severed limbs, enhancing great power-until wishes could no longer be answered. The greed of the Frostmoon Scions angered the Moon Goddess. She had once regarded the Frostmoon Scions as family, but the Frostmoon Scions of that time failed her, causing the Damselette to leave this place.
From the modified Moon Goddess statue, it can be seen that under the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya, both are similarly a relationship of utilization. The Tsaritsa once told the Damselette that she could regard the "Fatui" as another home, but in the end, the Abyss no longer loved by people and the deity who no longer loves people are both places that crave the Moon Goddess's power, just like the Frostmoon Scions. At the cost of consuming much power, the Damselette completed the tasks assigned by the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya and gained the freedom to come and go. At this time, the Ancient Lunar Remains fell from the high heavens, and the Damselette returned to the place where she was once born, quietly awaiting the opportunity to return to the moon.

The rift issue between the Damselette and the Frostmoon Scions was not resolved by the Traveler; the progress has currently advanced to maintaining a familiar relationship with both sides and continuing to observe the subsequent storyline. However, there are some clues regarding the search for the spacecraft. With the power of the Damselette, the Traveler successfully saw past scenes from the Moon Marrow.
From after the crash landing to the spacecraft being covered in moss, the cabin door never opened, yet the anti-Traveler was found outside the spacecraft by the Traveler. Clearly, there is a deity intentionally hiding information. Clearly, they were twin stars traveling by boat to detach from the earth, yet they were captured by an underground kingdom; clearly, it was a crash-landed and dormant spacecraft, yet it was opened from the outside by the pilot who should have been inside. This reveals various weird things, making it difficult to clarify whether it was the work of the Four Shining Shades or Khaenri'ah.

The contradictions between the Frostmoon Scions and the Fatui
Next is the second conflict in the storyline: the contradictions between the Frostmoon Scions and the Fatui. As mentioned earlier, after the Fatui pulled down the Ancient Lunar Remains from the sky, they began to cast covetous eyes on the Eternal Moon fragments that fell on Hiisi Island and the sacred relic of the Frostmoon Scions. The internal conflicts of the Frostmoon Scions and the covetousness of the Wild Hunt provided the Fatui with an opportunity to instigate rebellion. In the subsequent journey to infiltrate the experimental design bureau, the Traveler's group did not find the sacred relic. Instead, after everyone jointly resisted the Wild Hunt, it was actively returned by the Marionette.
According to the Marionette's confirmation, it was not she who ordered the search for the Moon Marrow; it is already quite clear who was giving orders behind the scenes-the Harbinger with deep connections to this land, The Doctor. Although The Doctor is quite detestable, after the sacred relic was recovered, the relationship between the two sides became less tense. Moreover, the loss of the sacred relic also provided Lauma with an opportunity to reshape the faith of the Frostmoon Scions. The conflict came and went quickly. The best way to eliminate conflict is to create a common enemy for everyone. The Hunter of the Moon hidden within the Wild Hunt makes his appearance.

The "Wild Hunt" phenomenon can be traced back to several hundred years ago, occurring at random times and locations. At that time, it was just a legend adults used to scare children, until it became reality after the Cataclysm of Khaenri'ah. The reason for summoning the "Wild Hunt" is the remains left behind by the Hunter of the Moon.
From the Hunter of the Moon's profile, it can be understood that the Five Sinners of Khaenri'ah correspond to the primordial Four Shining Shades and the Heavenly Principles; they respectively blaspheme the authority wielded by the deities in five different domains. Specifically for the Hunter of the Moon, the sin he committed was blasphemy against Death. According to information obtained from the Damselette, the Hunter of the Moon disappeared shortly after the Cataclysm of Khaenri'ah. The final outcome, it is said, was that he fell into the moon's reflection from which one can never return. In the words of the Hunter of the Moon himself, his body was once utterly destroyed, scattered to the ashes, and thrown into chaotic time. Two entirely different statements: one seems like being exiled beyond Teyvat; the other seems like being detach the known timeline, similar to the Mare Jivari.

In Skirk's Story Quest, it is revealed that the Sinister Rider possesses the ability to break the immortality curse. Becoming a calamity that sweeps across the cosmos is Surtalogi's ultimate expression of his cultivated power. Applied to the Hunter of the Moon, the immortality he cultivated is unrelated to the curse cast upon the Khaenri'ans by the Deathly Ruler; rather, it pertains to the undying and unceasing nature of life and will within chaotic time streams. By a twist of fate, the fragments of the Hunter of the Moon formed a incomplete body, after which he began to continue collecting fragments within the Wild Hunts occurring in various places.
This also explains why the Hunter of the Moon is particularly fixated on Flins in the storyline; the fragment within Flins's Lamp is the extremely crucial heart of the Hunter of the Moon's body. Previously, disguising himself as the anti-Traveler to infiltrate the Frostmoon Scions' secret chamber in an attempt to steal the sacred relic and plotting to use the cannon in Nasha Town were all efforts to obtain a complete form through the power of Kuuvahki. We have come to understand the Hunter of the Moon's immortality, but why he is connected to the moon remains unclear.
In the storyline, after the Hunter of the Moon obtains his complete form, the out-of-control him shouts the names Vedrfolnir and Rhinedottir. They are two of the Five Great Sinners. Legend says that in the earliest Wild Hunts, people would see a female ghostly figure in the mist. Whether he has a heart, whether he counts as human-none of it matters to him, even this world itself holds no importance to him; Only he holds deep resentment towards these three. Everyone can speculate about what exactly happened among them. Referencing the example where the Traveler deactivated the Hunter of the Moon's heart, as long as the Hunter of the Moon's body can be shattered repeatedly and the Traveler gradually purifies him, rendering all fragments belonging to the Hunter of the Moon inactive, this could be considered a method to eradicate him.
However, the Hunter of the Moon is too adept at fleeing; currently, there is a lack of a powerful combatant to handle this. Speaking of combat prowess, Varka, who went on a mission to the northern Amsvartnir Lake at the beginning of the storyline, returns by the end of the narrative. He even secretly began tracking the Hunter of the Moon lurk in Nasha Town and engaged in dealings with him.
2. Genshin Impact Nod-Krai - Lauma's Reforms
Having analyzed the main storyline, let's now discuss the character story. This part of Lauma focuses on her role as the leader of the Frostmoon Scions, reshaping true faith and maintaining the family's integrity.

Because she possessed the pure bloodline characteristics of the Frostmoon Scions, Lauma was designated as the successor to the Moonchanter from birth. Her entire childhood was molded to cultivate the future successor of the "Moonchanter." The first words she learned were prayers, and the first gesture she remembered was the hand ritual. At that time, Lauma found all this natural. The sense of anomaly she later felt lay in the Frostmoon Scions' bloodline perception of the moon. The Frostmoon Scions' bloodline has been diluted over time, with very few people having antlers, and everyone's perception of "Kuuvahki" is rather careless. They cannot discern where the tides come from, let alone know about the "real" moon hidden beyond the False Sky. But Sister Deer is different; she is extremely sensitive to moonlight, [Kuuvahki], and tidal fluctuations.
After studying, she realized that her perception was completely different from the oral accounts of her clan. Sister Deer had long concluded that "the moon in the sky of Teyvat today is false," but due to her identity, she could not tell everyone and was forced onto a path of "concealing the truth." Through the Traveler's confirmation of the existence of the "False Sky," Lauma also felt as if a weight had been lifted.

On the other hand, maintaining the family's integrity has trapped the Frostmoon Scions in the quicksand of a slow demise. In the storyline, Galina's Kuuvahki adaptability defect onset twice. Her mother, Kapuy, should have sought a physician's help, but she remained constrained by distrust of outsiders and took no action, instead praying day and night to the Moon Goddess Koitar, believing the goddess would respond her piety. Even though the Moon Goddess had left the Frostmoon Scions a long, long time ago.
As mentioned earlier, despite the Damselette leaving the Frostmoon Scions for so long, they remain obstinatly conservative. In the face of rigid faith, even the Moonchanter's words hold less power. So, Lauma could only use herself as a blood bag, mixing medicine brought from Nasha Town, secretly bleeding to treat this child's illness. The contradiction involved also led some within the Frostmoon Scions to leave home.

For example, in the storyline, there is Vilemina who cut off her antlers to draw a clear boundary, and in the world quest, there is Vinakinka who touched upon many taboos. Vilemina, who grew up with Lauma, could see that Lauma was bearing many burdens alone and noticed the helpless look in her eyes when treating Galina, believing that Lauma was trapped by "responsibility." In the storyline, Vilemina wanted to express her concern but was afraid of adding more pressure to Sister Deer, so she could only ask the Traveler to help Lauma relieve stress. As for Vilemina herself, she felt despair about the current state of the Frostmoon Scions and did not see Hiisi Island as her home. Betrayal was the way out she sought on a personal level; when an opportunity arose, it was a matter of course for her to turn against them.

What Vilemina actually detected was the pain in Lauma's heart from concealing the truth about the Frostmoon. Lauma herself still cared about the Frostmoon Scions as a family. Centuries of faith cannot be easily changed. Especially at this moment when the believers regard Lauma, the "Moonchanter," as their hope. Destroying hope would be fatal to the collective. Externally, the Fatui are press hard, and now is precisely the time when the Frostmoon Scions need unity. Changing all this required a chance, and that chance was the loss of the sacred relic "Moon Marrow."
After the sacred relic was lost, the Fatui withdrew their pressure on the Frostmoon Scions, giving Lauma a window for reform. She laid out a series of truths and contradictions before everyone: the false moon, the departed deity... Losing faith meant losing their home; some chose to leave, but others had a sudden awakening, cleared the confusion in their hearts, and began to live more actively. The truth was revealed, but the bloodline inherited from the moon by the Frostmoon Scions will not change. What changed was seeing clearly where the real moon is and how to become self-reliant and forge their own path.

In the storyline, Lauma embodies the image of a reformer trapped between the past and the future, hoping for the Frostmoon Scions to "break and then stand" but fearing that after a fall, they might not recover. Between the collective's slow death and personal distress, she could only use the window for reform created by the external environment and rely on someone from outside this world to relieve stress. Overall, Lauma's character storyline is relatively clear, while Flins is not so easy to understand.
3. Genshin Impact Nod-Krai - Flins's "Blue Flame"
In the first half of the main storyline, the Traveler learned about the local tale of the "Light Fae" in Nod-Krai. This fae once contributed greatly to the construction of Nod-Krai, but extinguished itself after the Abyssal Disaster ravaged and desolated this land. The current night patrols by the LightKeepers carry the meaning of commemorating that fae. Although the legend differs from the actual events, there is no doubt that the "Light Fae" is Flins himself. This was confirmed through the unspoken understanding reached between the Traveler and Flins as they stood before Sergeant Sosius's grave at the end of the storyline, with only Paimon still clueless. However, Flins had less presence in the second part of the main storyline, so here I relied on some power of the "Irminsul."

As is well known, Snezhnaya was once a land of faes. The "Light Fae" was originally a blue flame on the ice plains that guided departed souls, but in the Winter Court of Snezhnaya, he was Kyrylo Chudomirovich Flins, a noble with a family crest and surname. Thanks to this name, his identity transition was very flexible: in Nod-Krai, he is the LightKeeper Flins; in Snezhnaya, he is the noble Kyrylo. Coinciding with the turbulent times when the Belyi Tsar passed the throne to the Tsaritsa, the political landscape of Snezhnaya was reshuffled. The originally venerated blue flames were gradually replaced by red ones, and the noble Kyrylo quietly vanished amidst the transformation.
Nowadays, it is widely believed that the noble Kyrylo was purged due to his dissatisfaction with the current political situation, but the fact that his family crest and surname remain preserved in the noble registry of Snezhnaya serves as a response to such rumors. A reason closer to the truth is that these former faes could not accept the sudden changes, always wishing for a river of eternal youth to exist in the world, one that could ensure the everlasting reign of the Snezhnayan monarchy. Unable to alter Snezhnaya's circumstances and incapable of humor the tide of history, being caught in the fierce torrent of transformation meant that no matter which direction one struggled to swim, they would be swept away, inevitably leading to despair and self-abandonment. Thus, Kyrylo chose self-exile and drifted with the tide.

He journeyed south, traversing snow plains and cities, until he stepped into the desolate borderlands. This was during Nod-Krai's "Paradise" era, where the people living there were radiant with glory, eager to achieve great deeds in the new age. But Kyrylo felt that even if this place was thriving, it might not belong to him. So, he found himself a lighthouse tomb, selected stone slabs to set up an altar, raised a toast to this tedious world with the most ancient ritual, then sealed himself away, transforming into a flame that sank into the earth, beginning a sleep that would last for centuries. He personally placed an ellipsis at the end of his own story...
However, this slumber was ultimately broken on that rainy night of the Wild Hunt five hundred years ago. A unit called the "Lightkeepers" was fighting against the Wild Hunt from the Abyss right above his resting place.

The young warrior knelt beside his fallen comrade, praying to the old god (Belyi Tsar) who no longer received prayers and the kings he once ruled, just as his ancestors had done in the past. On the altar, he used blood to trace the symbols on the stone tablet. Blood and soul paid the price. The blood seeped into the altar, and the pale flame reignited. Perhaps moved by the Lightkeeper's struggle, or perhaps seeing his past self, Flins felt a long-lost impulse to do something. The ancient legend's blue prairie fire once again burned on the new battlefield...
Afterwards, Flins and the surviving warriors buried the dead heroes. For humanity, Flins once yearned, yet also felt lost. From a prominent fae noble to an ordinary Lightkeeper soldier. The dramatic ups and downs of life made him understand that even so, certain things must not be allowed to happen.
4. Genshin Impact Nod-Krai - Revelations and Foreshadowing
Due to the emergence of the Hunter of the Moon, he has now become the target of all, allowing the Damselette no longer need to hide and finally finds respite. Following the procedure, it is now time for the sharing of intelligence on heavyweight characters. The Damselette tells the Traveler that it is said there is an obsession hidden within the Hunter of the Moon's power, and this obsession might be the key to defeating him. Hearing this, I immediately thought of Dain. Although there are also avenues for investigation through The Jester and The Knave on the Fatui side, the thought of going through several rounds of scheming and exchange of interests with them again feels somewhat weak.

Additionally, regarding the information about the spacecraft and the Hunter of the Moon, the Traveler can also turn back to Sumeru and inquire through the Irminsul. The Damselette claims to have contributed significantly to the Tsaritsa's plan. Through infiltrating and obtaining hundreds of pages of design materials, she informed us that the Fatui intend to use light realm power to create a weapon, which is said to be an important part of the Tsaritsa's future plan.
Then, in my opinion, what could withstand a blast would only be the three entities: Teyvat, Celestia, and the False Sky. If the Tsaritsa ultimately fires a shot at Teyvat, the purpose might be to destroy a certain crucial installation or penetrate a passage to an underground kingdom. If it is loaded and fired towards Celestia, then the goal naturly to force the slumbering Heavenly Principles to appear. If it ultimately aims at the False Sky, then it truly is about changing the heavens and the earth. In the storyline, Flins also pointed out another hidden foreshadowing: when the cannon fired at full power, the beam shot towards Hiisi Island was clearly obstructed, and the Damselette publicly declared she was not responsible for this matter.
So far, we have not yet seen the large Ancient Lunar Remains that fell on Hiisi Island. Whether someone is secretly researching Kuuvahki there is a question that future versions will answer. Additionally, there is another foreshadowing: when the Traveler, Paimon, and Flins were searching for clues about the Wild Hunt in the graveyard archive, the archives automatically popped up a prompt. This is clearly guidance given to us by Nicole Reeyn. Finally, I would like to pose a question to those who enjoy the storyline. If the Moon Maiden can be reborn through some mechanism without the moon shattering, then considering that the planet Teyvat has not shattered after so many years, after the death of the planet's old master Nibelung, is a new master of Teyvat also being nurtured?

The above is the storyline analysis for the "Song of the Welkin Moon: Luna I" version. I believe that after reading this, Travelers must have many new understandings, though of course, there are still various unanswered questions. Let us look forward together to the future storyline about Nod-Krai. Do not miss our more articles and in-site merchandise. See you next time!
