How to Build Genshin Impact Lauma?
As the debut 5-star character of the Nod-Krai version and a dedicated support for both the Bloom and Lunar-Bloom reaction systems, her mechanics in all aspects have brought us many surprises. Rauma has long been highly anticipated by players!
With her rerun happening during Version "Luna VI" update, let me take you through a character-building guide to quickly get her ready for combat and daily exploration.
Lauma Skill Analysis
Normal Attack:
Normal Attack:Not a primary skill; can be left unleveled.
Spirit Envoy Metamorphosis: Hold the attack button to transform into an envoy of the tranquil forest, gaining rapid movement and the ability to perform a double jump for 10 seconds.

Important Details:
(1) Spirit Envoy Metamorphosis can only be used when the deer antlers above Rauma's head are glowing. The antlers do not glow during the 4-second cooldown.
(2) After transforming, the character automatically sprints, covering approximately 93 meters. Movement cannot be stopped during this state!
(3) Tapping the attack button cancels Spirit Envoy Metamorphosis and stops movement.
Elemental Skill
Main Function: Holding the skill consumes Verdant Dew to stack effects for the Elemental Burst, provides 15 seconds of off-field Dendro application from the Frostgrove Sanctuary, and reduces enemy Dendro RES & Hydro RES by 25%.

Key Details:
(1) Verdant Dew does not appear on the field. The number of crescent marks below the character's portrait indicates the amount of Verdant Dew. Holding the skill consumes all marks.
(2) The Frostgrove Sanctuary attacks once every 2 seconds, for a total of 7 attacks. It applies Dendro once every 2 seconds.
(3) The sanctuary follows the character but has a radius of only 6 meters. It's easy for bosses to move out of its area if they shift slightly.
(4) The sanctuary generates Elemental Particles at a rate of 1 particle per 2 hits (once every 4 seconds), with a 33.3% chance to generate 1 extra particle. The standard expected total is 4 particles.
Elemental Burst
Main Function: For 15 seconds, increases the damage dealt by the team's Bloom, Hyperbloom, Blazing Bloom, and Lunar-Bloom reactions. Initially triggers 18 times and can be increased to 36 times by consuming 3 Verdant Dew stacks with a held Elemental Skill.

Key Details:
(1) This effect is a fixed value bonus. It is not affected by Mastery damage bonuses, reaction damage bonuses, or other similar effects. It is only affected by the target's resistance and CRIT stats.
(2) In a double Dendro team composition, it is recommended to have at least 173% Energy Recharge for Lauma if the team includes a C1 Yelan. Otherwise, 190%+ Energy Recharge is recommended.
Summary: Recommended skill upgrade priority: Elemental Burst = Elemental Skill > Normal Attack. Leveling up both the Burst and Skill is important because the Burst's levels increase the damage boost for Bloom-related reactions, and the Skill's levels increase the Dendro and Hydro RES reduction effect. Therefore, it is recommended to level both. The Normal Attack can be left unleveled.
Passive Talents
Talent 1: Triggers the "Moonsign: Nascent Gleam" effect when Lauma is the only character from Nod-Krai in the party. Triggers the "Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam" effect when the party includes Lauma and one other Nod-Krai character. The Ascendant Gleam and Nascent Gleam effects cannot be active simultaneously.
This talent, combined with Nahida's 2nd Constellation, can provide up to 35% CRIT Rate, offering a massive boost to Bloom/Hyperbloom/Blazing Bloom damage!
Talent 2: Grants a maximum 32% bonus to Elemental Skill DMG at 800 Elemental Mastery. However, since prioritizing EM and Energy Recharge is more important, her Skill damage is generally not the main focus.
Talent 3: Grants a maximum 14% bonus to Lunar-Bloom base DMG at 800 Elemental Mastery. In the current version, only Lauma's held Elemental Skill and her 6th Constellation deal Lunar-Bloom DMG. The Verdant Dew generated by Lunar-Bloom reactions is not considered Lunar-Bloom DMG, so this talent is currently not very useful.
Lauma Weapon Recommendations

The best-in-slot weapon for Lauma is her signature catalyst, Nightweaver's Looking Glass. Most 5-star weapons, such as A Thousand Floating Dreams, Sunny Morning Sleep-In, and Starcaller's Watch, can reach about 90% of the effectiveness of her signature weapon. You can choose based on your own situation.

For 4-star weapons, the first recommendation is the forgeable weapon from Nod-Krai, which can achieve about 85% of the signature weapon's effectiveness. Alternatively, the current version's event 4-star weapon is also a good choice. Other 4-star weapons that primarily provide Elemental Mastery, such as Sacrificial Fragments and Wandering Evenstar, can reach about 80% of the signature weapon's effectiveness.
Lauma Artifact Recommendations
For Lauma's Artifacts, two main sets are recommended: Deepwood Memories and the new Nod-Krai set, Silken Moon's Serenade. Lauma can use either set, but the new set is slightly more recommended because she herself is somewhat energy-hungry, and the 2-piece effect of the new set helps compensate for this. However, if no other character in the team is equipped with a 4-piece Deepwood Memories set, Lauma can wear it instead to help reduce the team's Dendro RES.

For main stats, the priority is Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, Elemental Mastery; or triple Elemental Mastery.
For sub-stats, the priority is: Energy Recharge > Elemental Mastery > CRIT Stats > ATK% > Others . Energy Recharge is prioritized because Lauma herself has energy issues, and her Elemental Skill's particle generation is only average. When Lauma is the only Dendro character on the team, she needs at least 200% Energy Recharge for a smooth rotation. If there are two Dendro characters on the team, the Energy Recharge requirement can be lowered to 160%. You can adjust Lauma's Artifact stats based on your specific team composition.
Lauma Constellation Recommendations
Recommended Constellations: C0, C1, C2, C6

Constellation 1: When equipped with her signature weapon and the "Silken Moon's Serenade" artifact set, Lauma with C1 can reach about 1400+ Elemental Mastery, healing for 7000+ HP every 1.9 seconds. C1 Lauma essentially fulfills both a support and healer role.
Constellation 2: Provides an additional damage increase for Bloom and Lunar-Bloom reactions, representing a core damage constellation. In a team of Lauma, Alhaitham, Xingqiu, and Kuki Shinobu, the damage increase is approximately 18.9%. In a team of Lauma, Nilou, a Dendro character, and a Hydro character, the increase is about 19.2%. This constellation primarily boosts the damage of Lunar-Bloom Main DPS characters, offering not only a fixed value bonus but also a 40% DMG Bonus for Lunar-Bloom.
Constellation 6: Increases the number of times Bloom reaction damage is enhanced, allows Lauma to trigger Lunar-Bloom reaction damage while on-field, and provides Lunar-Bloom with an independent damage multiplier. This constellation fundamentally transforms her damage, allowing Lauma to function effectively as a Main DPS.
Lauma Team Recommendations
The team compositions for Lauma primarily reference those for Nahida, especially Bloom teams. Lauma possesses superior abilities to apply Dendro and provide Bloom reaction damage bonuses compared to the Dendro Archon. Lauma's strengths are her ability to apply Dendro on the move and her Bloom reaction damage bonus. Nahida's strengths are her ability to apply strong Dendro for a long duration and increase the active character's Elemental Mastery. Nahida primarily supports entire Dendro-based teams, with Bloom being just one branch of the Dendro system.
From this perspective, Nahida's capabilities are more comprehensive than Lauma's. Lauma, on the other hand, specializes in Bloom. Next, let's discuss Lauma's main team compositions.
Lauma + Alhaitham + Xingqiu + Kuki Shinobu

After replacing Nahida with Lauma, the entire team gains greater mobility and Bloom reaction damage. Additionally, Lauma will provide the critical hit effect that only Nahida with her 2nd Constellation possesses. Unless Nahida reaches her 2nd Constellation, she is not capable of competing with a C0 Lauma. Otherwise, including Lauma in the team is definitely superior to using a C0 Nahida.
Lauma + Nilou + Dendro + Hydro

This is the Nilou Bloom team. The core team members are Lauma and Nilou, with the other two slots being one Hydro and one Dendro character. The team must include at least one survivability/support role. When the Hydro character fills the survivability role, such as Sangonomiya Kokomi or Barbara, the Dendro slot can be filled by characters with wide-area Dendro application like Nahida or Collei. When the Dendro character is a survivability/support like Baizhu or Yaoyao, the Hydro slot can be filled by damage-dealing Hydro applicators like Yelan, Xingqiu, or Furina. The choices are quite flexible, allowing you to select based on your own roster.
Once Lauma reaches her 1st Constellation, she can provide healing to the active character. At this point, the survivability/support characters in the 3rd and 4th slots can potentially be replaced with damage-dealers. Compositions like Alhaitham + Xingqiu, for example, are viable.
Lauma + Furina + Neuvillette

Lauma's Elemental Skill at level 10 can reduce Hydro RES and Dendro RES by 25%, allowing her to be paired with Hydro DPS characters. The core trio of Neuvillette, Furina, and Lauma remains fixed. The fourth slot can be filled by characters like Kaedehara Kazuha, Xilonen, Ineffa, or Kuki Shinobu to form a new-generation Neuvillette team. This transforms the Neuvillette team from a single-core damage output setup to a multi-core damage output one.
While Neuvillette's personal damage in this team will be lower compared to his optimal compositions, the overall team damage won't lag far behind due to the added damage from Lauma herself, the Hyperbloom damage, or potential Lunar-Charged damage from a character like Ineffa. The primary purpose of building this team is to help Neuvillette adapt to the Nod-Khrai environment, representing another exploration of new team playstyles for him.
