Genshin Impact Mondstadt Hexenzirkel Relationship Big Reveal
The Hexenzirkel, a mysterious organization allied with Mondstadt. In the past, they have appeared more frequently in events and side stories. But as the version updates progress, they are gradually stepping into the spotlight. Recently, the official released an image titled "Arcane Premonition," which flashed by many signature items belonging to familiar Mondstadt characters. Let us review the connections between these characters and the Hexenzirkel together.
In the Version 3.5 event storyline, the PV "The Mages' Tea Party" officially unveiled the veil of this mysterious organization, the Hexenzirkel. At that time, eight witches were shown in the picture. However, the true number of members in the Hexenzirkel remains a topic of enthusiastic discussion among storyline enthusiasts.

Alice used the first letter of each witch's name as their code name to address them, but because both Andersdotter and Alice started with A, Andersdotter could only take the letter M from her middle name as her code name. The following list only includes the Hexenzirkel members who were present at the time. Next, I will describe the connections between these witches and the characters in the preview image in turn.
1. Genshin Impact Klee: Dodoco
The Dodoco Bomb is Klee's symbol and a gift from Alice to Klee. As the boundaries of Teyvat grew increasingly fragile, Alice was unable to personally care for her daughter. To make up for this, she asked her close friend's student Albedo for help and sends gifts to Klee every summer.

The Golden Apple Archipelago in Version 1.6 and the Veluriyam Mirage in Version 3.8 were both paradises specially prepared by Alice for Klee. In Version 4.8's Simulanka, Albedo also brought Klee along to play. It can truly be said that she is the recipient of immense affection.
The meaning of "Dodoco" is "best friend." Alice said that one day, the Dodoco would leave the Golden Apple Archipelago. Even though they already have many Dodocos as companions before their eyes, they will ultimately drift with the wind like dandelions, traveling to a wider world and becoming "Dodoco" for even more people. As a great adventurer of myriad worlds, Alice is aware of many concepts foreign to Teyvat, and she also hopes that the people of Teyvat can, like the Dodoco, journey towards broader horizons.

2. Genshin Impact Albedo: Drawing Board and Pen
The drawing board and pen represent our very familiar teacher, Albedo. Our first encounter with him was when he was sketching Hilichurls. However, unlike ordinary drawing, Albedo's sketches are primarily preparations for subsequent creation.
Currently, as the Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius, he hides deeper secrets. He was taught by Gold Rhinedottir, one of The Five Sinners of Khaenri'ah, and is himself the highest achievement of alchemy-a "homunculus."

Furthermore, Gold Rhinedottir is also member R of the Hexenzirkel. After obtaining the artifact known as the Heart of Naberius, she entrusted Albedo to the care of another witch, member A, Alice. This connection ultimately led Albedo to form ties with Mondstadt and the Knights of Favonius.
Another connection stemming from Rhinedottir led Albedo to reside long-term in Dragonspine, near Mondstadt, researching another of Rhinedottir's creations-the fallen dragon Durin. This was the storyline of the Version 1.2 event "The Chalk Prince and the Dragon." Since then, almost every event related to Mondstadt has had some connection to the Hexenzirkel.

By the Version 2.3 event "Shadows Amidst Snowstorms," Albedo thwarted the counterattack of one of his failed "brothers" who had revived in Dragonspine, revealing more details about Durin and the Primordial Human Project. Rhinedottir failed many times in her attempts to create the perfect homunculus. Those failed products were mercilessly discarded into Durin's stomach. After Durin's death, the vast vitality caused one of these failures to awaken, seeking to replace Albedo.

Fortunately, with the help of the Traveler who could discern the truth, Albedo ultimately eliminated this failed product, burying it in Dragonspine. However, these events were merely omens of the demon dragon Durin's revival. To prevent Durin's resurrection and protect Mondstadt, Albedo has spent years contemplating how to proceed. It wasn't until the Simulanka world in Version 4.8 that he encountered another Durin.
"M," among the witches, moved by the tragic fate of Durin, wrote a unique new story for him. With the assistance of witch A Alice and witch B Barbeloth, this story was transformed into a small, real world.

The same name caused the fate of the fairy-tale Durin to be affected, similarly making him an evil dragon. However, with the blessings of the people of Teyvat, he truly became a pure individual. This allowed Albedo to see an opportunity. Through a year of advance planning and a well-prepared scheme, Albedo and the Knights of Favonius crushed the resistance of the demon dragon Durin.
In the main storyline "Paralogism" of Version 5.6, Albedo and the Traveler passed the trials set by the witches and obtained their aid. Utilizing a massive alchemical array during the lively Windblume Festival, the fairy-tale Durin merged with the demon dragon Durin. Crossing the 18th, World, and 20th Paths of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, Durin became the new Kreideprinzn, a kinsman of Albedo.

This is Albedo's great achievement and Durin's rebirth, all of which were accomplished with the assistance of the Hexenzirkel. For the sake of the child, they were willing to open the door to the world.
Albedo's connection to the witches is undoubtedly the deepest. He is the son and disciple of witch R Rhinedottir, the guardian of witch A Alice's daughter, and maintains a very good relationship with witch B Barbeloth. Among the successors of the various witches, he undoubtedly holds a leading position.
3. Genshin Impact Venti: Wooden Lyre "Der Frühling"
This lyre is actually transformed from the imitation Vision on Venti's person. The connection between Venti and the Hexenzirkel was foreshadowed very early. The daughter of Witch A lives here and has even become the Spark Knight of the Knights of Favonius. The son of Witch R is the Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius, and the apprentice of Witch B was also sent back here.

The direct revelation comes from Scarlett, a successor of the witch J from a foreign land. The riddles she spread led Mondstadt's companions to find the place where the witches gathered. From this, we learned about the organization known as the Hexenzirkel and discovered that the Anemo Archon is connected to them.

This connection is more directly manifested in the Version 5.6 main storyline "Paralogism." Through Venti's referral, the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, Varka, formed an alliance with the Hexenzirkel, and the witches will protect Mondstadt. Therefore, it can be said that the Anemo Archon has always had deep ties with the Hexenzirkel, and their acquaintance dates back hundreds of years.
4. Genshin Impact Mona: The Decorations on Hat
Mona, the disciple of Witch B Barbeloth, her full name is Astrologist Mona Megistus, meaning "the Great Astrologist Mona." Of course, her teacher is the "Thrice-Great Star Scholar."

We became acquainted with Mona very early. In her Story Quest, she predicted the Traveler's trajectory long in advance. Although it was very vague, she indeed intercepted us at the gate of Liyue Harbor.
Unfortunately, she could not escape her teacher's schemes. Barbeloth sent her to Mondstadt to retrieve a diary, specifically warning her not to read it. However, due to an unexpected twist involving Klee, Mona not only read it but also finished evaluating it. Consequently, she had to stay in Mondstadt, not daring to return.
Although Barbeloth told Mona not to read the diary, it seems she had already foreseen this possibility through astrology. Like the other witches, she also intended to send her successor to Mondstadt. Furthermore, Barbeloth appeared during Albedo's trial, questioning why such a dismantling had to happen there.

In the Version 2.8 archipelago event, Mona's island realm was the most fantastical and magnificent, where various elements of fate, time, water, and stars converged. We also learned that Mona is not actually poor; in fact, each of her books is worth hundreds of thousands of Mora.
Now, Mona has long been integrated into life in Mondstadt City, having formed deep friendships with many companions. She has become close friends with Fischl, often enjoying meals at her home. She researches alongside Albedo and plays with Klee - essentially, half of the Hexenzirkel's successors have gathered here.
5. Genshin Impact Sucrose: Flask
This is Sucrose's flask. Sucrose's connection to the Hexenzirkel originates from the "Wonderland" mentioned in her character story. Both she and her friends yearned for a Wonderland. Sucrose embarked on this path because she discovered that through Bio-Alchemy, she could potentially become the creator of such a Wonderland, and it was for this reason that she obtained her Vision.

6. Genshin Impact Fischl: Oz
Fischl obtained Oz, the night raven, in Mondstadt's Grand Library, which is also the setting for the theatrical performances we are familiar with. The identity of Princess Fischl originates from a novel, "Flowers for Princess Fischl," but this book is not merely a simple story.

In the tale, the evil dragon could exert great pressure on the young dragon when naming it, which is similar to how other Dragon Kings are named.
The weapon "Mitternachts Waltz" also records the fall of March. I believe the "Prinzessin der Verurteilung" must have been a real person, but only her story has been recorded. Oz is likely a night raven spirit born from a story recorded by a certain witch, manifesting in the world through Fischl's Vision.

Just as the dragon in the fairy tale, after being named Durin, experienced an equally tragic story of evil, the girl who took the name Fischl would naturally attract the same night raven, Oz. Whether there is a connection to the witches, and what the true identity of the "Prinzessin der Verurteilung" might be, can only be revealed in future versions.
7. Genshin Impact Razor: Wolf Within
Razor follows Lisa Minci's teachings, but Lisa only knows about the Hexenzirkel organization. If we truly trace the connection between Razor and the Hexenzirkel, it only leads to Grand Master Varka. Although Razor was raised by wolves, it was Varka who taught him swordsmanship and brought him into human society.

Moreover, the image of the wolf now frequently appears in texts related to witches and angels. In the theater, the attendants are also little wolves. However, the storyline has never explained the origin of the Wolf Within that appears when Razor uses his Elemental Burst. Now it seems likely that it is related to a certain witch.

This witch is N, Nicole Reeyn. She is one of the angels in the "The Boar Princess" story, where a boar that lost its head became a wolf, a lizard, and a snake. The time for N's appearance in Nod-Krai is coming very soon, and the main storyline may reveal the meaning of the wolf.

The agreement between Mondstadt and the Hexenzirkel might soon be due for fulfillment. However, the witches will not intervene directly; it is more likely they will grant their power to the companions from Mondstadt. This corresponds to the new damage bonus effect mentioned in the text. Simply put, it's possible that the characters from Mondstadt are about to receive buffs. Let's look forward to the upcoming storyline together!
